Privacy Policy – UniRent

This is a translation of the Italian privacy policy; in case of discrepancy the Italian version prevails.

Data controller

Data processed

• Account: email, name, phone (optional); with Google or Apple sign-in, the name and email provided by the service.
• Data entered by landlords: properties, rooms, tenant data (name, contacts, tax code, date of birth, contract), payments, receipts, contracts, bills, fault reports.
• Device token for push notifications (iOS/Android apps only).

Purposes and legal basis

Management of the rental relationship (performance of the contract and legal obligations) and operation of the service.

Who sees the data

The property managers (owners, co-owners, authorised agents). Each tenant only sees their own data, their own receipts and contracts and the bills they pay a share of.

Providers

Supabase (database, file storage and authentication; project in the EU region), Expo (sending push notifications), Google and Apple (only if their sign-in is used). Of the data received from Google, only name and email are used to create the account (Limited Use).

Retention and rights

Data is kept as long as the account or the property exists. The account can be deleted from the app (Settings → Delete account and data). The rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR can be exercised by writing to the controller, and a complaint can be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
